I think its a great poem of faith for this Easter time. Its great to put things in perspective and hear that we owe our ultimate allegience to God and we should put our faith in him and his plan for our redemption to a better world than the one we are in now. Very honestly spoken in plain language. estory

You are so correct. Our flag, although important to us in our nation means nothing in the kingdom of God. It is to him we are accountable. We need to keep or faith and press in for the reward that lies ahead. Great poem!

Sadly, in the name of one religion or another, horrible crimes have also been carried out. We should all stop and ask ourselves, regardless of the name we ascribe to God... would He want us slaying others in His name?
I cannot imagine waging war against another religion is what our souls are called to do! Be it patriotism or militant religious views... Let's run our wages of war against SIN... Karenina

Thank you, that is why there is a distinction between false religion and true religion. False religion has done more harm than just about anything I can imagine. Burnings at the stake, hangings, witch hunts, even wars. To my mind false religion is one of the worst offenders against humankind.

Hello my sister. I too am one of Jehovah's witnesses. My wife and I were baptized in 2014. I try to represent Jehovah's principles not only in my poetry, but also in my comments on the writings of others.
