Not impressed with the writing style or the story. I think more of an explanation should be given as to why she thinks God is telling her what to do. Where does that come from? Why does she think God is guiding her in her gambling?

Trudi, Thank you for your review and feedback. This is part of a four-chapter story. It is not a standalone chapter. It would be hard to understand without the other chapters. Some people don't believe God speaks to us, so even reading all four chapters might not be enough to understand.

I have a very strong faith (which I am assured you do too or you wouldn't allow yourself to be put in temptations way so often). but MY VISION finds me struggling to believe God would do this - As in the Lord's prayer - And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Maybe we both will learn something from your story. Smiles to you!

Satan does tempt us in many ways, and I have experienced it myself (as has everyone else in this world. Some sadly choose to give in). At times it can be hard to ignore Satan's clever "words" of temptation. But as you show in this story as long as we trust in God and hold onto Him then we can overcome anything. This story is well written in a simple, easily understandble way, with a very good moral to it.

Satan does tempt us in many ways, and I have experienced it myself (as has everyone else in this world. Some sadly choose to give in). At times it can be hard to ignore Satan's clever "words" of temptation. But as you show in this story as long as we trust in God and hold onto Him then we can overcome anything. This story is well written in a simple, easily understandble way, with a very good moral to it.

I must admit I do know that God does certain things in folk that is beyond explanation, but you never explained how you know God told you to actually gamble, most of my experience in God has been hindsight, in my gambling days I woke up in the morning, thinking, "this is my lucky day" and came home broke. But there was a time God actually "Spoke" loudly to my mind, and what He said followed almost immediately, but the words were harmless, I was in a master prophetic class. But because I know what a temptation gambling is, and also drinking in tandem, I'm wondering what the point of this gambling would be. I have moved in the prophetic quite a lot, the devil tried to tempt Jesus, but He resisted. I'm just mystified by your story, when I first gambled, I won a lot, once I was "hooked" then the losses piled up. But well done if God tells you to do it, do it, I'm just concerned, bless you, Roy

I understand your concern, especially since gambling hooked you in the past. I have walked with God since 1997 and made many mistakes along the way, but my desire for God's will continues to grow, and He teaches me how to hear Him.
I'm not hooked on gambling. If I were, I would have stayed when I had the urge to win. I believe God has a purpose for my casino trips, but I won't know what it is until He takes me there. I hear Him in different ways. He hasn't yet told me my next move.
My husband doesn't believe in God. Gary is following my gambling story. There are many ways God can use this story. That's up to Him. It's up to me to do my best to hear Him and follow the path He shows me to take.
I do appreciate your concern. There is a battle going on, and I know my flesh can take over, so your prayers would help. Every step seems important.

It's a chapter (as I understand), but a story itself, too! I like the inner fight you describe the way you describe it. It's the God who wants you to lose your money, not the Satan - what a way to look at it. I love this contradiction, it's original. Good job, Author!
