I'm not into gambling, so I don't have to worry about winning or losing (except on FanStory). It's possible that Biggs could still lose. but it seems to go against the odds for Meinz to challenge him. As it turns out, Biggs was the Biggs winner. Best of luck in the contest. Great entry. judi

Meinz probably had one too many beers and obviously one too many Benjamins.

Dear Bill, I love these triple flash fiction's, because it only gives you enough time to tell one thing about a character.
Such a refreshing change from novels that get so involved with magical beings, from imaginary planets, and that have, at least 50 characters listed below.

Congrats to Biggs. Meinz was foolish to place a wager with a man who had been playing and controlled the table all night. Within five sentences and fifty words, you managed an entire story, including dialogue. Way to go! Best wishes in the contest.

You made great use of your 50 words. I guess when you are in the zone, you are in the zone. But I am suspicious. If Biggs has been playing all night, it would seem he had played and won some $5 and $10 games already. In which case, Meinz would have cleaned him out of $100 he'd already won, and left him with half of his earlier winnings. Am I totally out to lunch?

I think you have gambled too much in your life, Susan. Let's let Biggs have a good night and just allow Meinz to learn that you don't bet against the king.

Hi Bill. This a great little story conveyed in only fifty words. Not an easy thing to do, but you did just that. I've never gambled, but Biggs certainly had his big night. Good luck in the contest. Ulla:)))

Thank you, Ulla. Meinz, on the other hand, should have left early.

Lucky Biggs. I wouldn't bet anyone a quarter in pool. Not sure when the last time I played, perhaps when I was a teen, (Like half a century ago!) my favorite thing was to chalk the cue tip! For 50 words you said a lot. Good luck!

Great story in Dribbled Fiction, Bill. I've seen some pool table braggarts in action and love to see them blasted. LOL This looks like a very likely contender in the contest, Bill. Bob

Win lose or draw. Winners win and losers cry. Smart guys no when it is not their night, and they fold while they still have money left. Losers never learn and they keep going to the well until they are all dried out. come home to the wife and cry until they are all cried out. The wives will sometimes tell these bums to "just get the hell out!"

Sounds like Mienz was a bit of a hustler to me, maybe poor old Biggs got a bit confused with who was playing and the time, very well written and best wishes for your contest****kahpot
