"If I could Turn back time" as Cher said in her song may be applied here. Sometimes we regret for not having a second chance, but we are here to learn on (huge, big and not so big) things. Artwork is very expressive! Good writing!

The author's words are heartfelt, sad, clear and creative. I pondered on
the theme of these words and thought about that some risks have
consequences. One of the things I found throughout this poem is
that it was written with a loving heart. A beautiful yet sad poem.

This poem is so tragic and poignant that it is hard to review. Mothers Day and Fathers Day are so difficult for people that have never had mothers or fathers, or who have had bad ones. The sadness of losing a mother early in life cannot be compared to anything else. It is clear that you blame your mother, and it's not my place to defend her, but I assume she was faced with the choice to abort and save herself. That is never a decision any woman should have to make. How does a mother choose between children? The movie Sophie's Choice explored that impossible situation. May God jelp you find peace and forgiveness.

The choice was not to abort, the baby was full term. She was warned that she was in danger of eclampsia which is what happened. Not that I blame her, it is to wonder why she was not thinking of the repercussions of her decision. Thank you for the review.

I guess I don't understand what choice she had.

These words are so very sad and if this is a true story then I am so sorry for your loss, children growing up without their Mother leaves a gaping hole in their hearts, love Dolly x

Your poem is very descriptive and heart-wrenching. So often the bereaved are left with questions that never will be answered--a situation that compounds their sense of loss.

Oh, no. This sounds like mom made an unwise decision and paid the ultimate price leaving her children behind... Eeeeeek! As a mom, this kind of thing really kicks me in the gut.
Sad.

Wow, this poem is intense and beautiful. I hope is fiction. I lost my mother when I was ten. Great entry for the Thoughts on mom. writing prompt contest.

This is a well written poem for thoughts on Mom. It's so sad though. I can't imagine the questions and the hurt one must have. Nice photo to compliment your words. Good luck in the contest.
