You scared me for a second there, Melissa. I don't want you to ever leave this place!
What a terrific poem, so fun to read in amphibrach meter. I wrote one of these a while back, called "My Strawberry Blond".
My favorite verse,
"So many of you share my passion for writing;
our friendships were forged as we clasped ink-stained hands.
No other collection of writers can fathom
this drive for expression... you do understand!"
Nicely penned! Thanks for sharing.

You've captured this sentiment of a close-knit group.
I like so many things about your poem: 'for where else can I suggest changes, or not,' the use of 'collection,' instead of group, 'our homes are diverse, separated by miles.
