This was fascinating reading, and inspiring, as well. I have been known to go onto Robert Brewer's Writer's Digest page in April, as he give a writing prompt each day, and everyone is able to critique each other's poetry all month; then at the end of the month, you can put together a chapbook to enter in his final contest. Winner gets published! Fun.
I gave you six starts because I'm partial to sonnets myself. And because I loved the little 5-7-5 at the end of this piece.
Good luck in April, Sunnilicious. I'll be looking for your work!

I think we are almost neighbors, I live near San Diego. I understand the pandemic boredom, yet it has given me more opportunity to write more and review.

Alicia,
Great to see you posting again. 30 poems in 30 days is admirable and quite the undertaking and I give you credit for doing so. Blessings to you my friend.

This introduction to your April Poem-a-thon is doing its job and making me think about using April as a poetry-writing playground.

Good luck with your venture. I did it one year I remember but not this year. I am too busy with my books. I don't know whether you realise it but I am running a class on modern sonnets here on line in May. Look it up under class rooms in the main menu.

Wow...30 poems in thirty days.
That is a remarkable challenge.
I have been in a writing slump forever,
I should try it.
But I probably won't, ha ha.
A rhyming dictionary is also very helpful.
Good luck!!
Blessings...
PS...is your name Soonire? That is SO pretty!!!
