Oh my gosh! This is awesome! I love the "reaching for the stars" phrase. That phrase is so common but I have never seen it used like this. The meeting of a more modern phrase with a historical picture makes the poem very memorable. Great writing:)

Beautiful poem! Vermeer is one of my favorite artists! He always had such interesting ways to paint light and how it falls on different textures. You created a lovely haiku that does justice to this painting! Good luck in the contest.
