Spring's Messenger

Hello, C2,
There is something magical about blooming flowers in spring... I like the imagery of your short poem...my favorite form. Nice imagery. Good word count and connection between lines. Good luck in the contest.

"with heraldry
redbuds proclaim
winter's defeat"
We don't have redbud trees here but I have been in Virginia in the spring when they were just blooming and they are certainly a sure sign that winter is over.

They are a welcome relief after the winter we had in Texas.
-
Yes you had a bad winter. We had a lot of snow and cold here as well

You are welcome.

Very nice, Chris. I like the use of the word "heraldry" (I see banners waving) because of it's military implications and the compatibility with both "proclaim" (I hear trumpets blowing in the background) and your closing word "defeat." You have made very good use of your six words.

Thank you Susan. The picture is from one of the redbuds at our lake cabin. They really did ?proclaimed with heraldry.? Thanks for the six-stars!

You earned the stars.

I enjoyed your contest entry. I like the way you presented your six words. The picture is a great pairing with your well-chosen words. Your words, though only six as required, speak volumes about the arrival of Spring. Best wishes.

Beautiful. It's amazing how powerful six little words can be and the meaning they bring. I love your beginning, "with heraldry". You wrote a wonderful poem. Thank you for sharing.
