You will never know how your writing reflects what you are thinking at the moment. I love to read your stories, which expresses your own expressive words and thoughts. I guess that's what a writer must do when they want to keep the scenes going.

Bacardis and coke were pretty popular when I was young, the drink of the time they were, but one doesn't hear of them now, mind you, I haven't drunk alcohol for something like thirty odd years, so how would I know? Beautifully written Iza, I hope you get to taste one soon, good job, blessings Roy

I know, I'm one of those who everyone hates for breaking over and mixing with the masses on the beach. I stayed home, indoors, and away from people since the day after St. Paddy's Day a year ago. Then Monday, I flew to Miami, ripped off my mask, and rolled in the sand like a pooch with an itch. I'll be at the horse races during the day, and somewhere between Bal Harbour and South Beach at night. Yes, I'm too old for this. But if it's going to be my last hurrah, I'm gonna get my boogie on!. LOL. Thanks for sharing another fine chapter.

Even a cheep beer and protein bar can be a delight compared to what some others are going through. I enjoyed your satire as it made me smile and think of paradise.

Yes, it's been a long year plus for the virus. I enjoyed your chapter on waiting to enjoy the real thing if that time ever comes. I like how you addressed Coronella like it was a person. Your words are descriptive and create great imagery. I like the different colored fonts, too. Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

I guess people think drinking like all the comercial in it'd you to is a myth.
Paradise is who you spend it with at the ocean enjoying the sun. Making their own memories.

Such a nice dream you've painted, Iza. If everyone would take your advice and create a safe dream and stay in it until all are vaccinated and it's safe to travel again.

Its a great piece of dreaming of escape, of having that rum drink in the Caribbean, on that exotic beach, far away from the epidemic. Its dreaming of a lost time, a lost place, that has been swept away in the epidemic, where we can only look at those old Bacardi ads in our quarantine. estory

"Mmm, I am pretty sure that the real thing can be drunk only on a Caribbean beach, under the kiss of the hot sun."

Yess, that's true, Iza, but with the virus 24 seven is fine. no rules. Bob

I was never an outside person, because I am allergic to almost every insect imaginable. A mosquito can put me in the hospital, but what I do miss is seeing my boys and their families. I have a new granddaughter born in July. I have only seen her on Zoom. I'm retiring in May. One of the first things I'm going to do is visit her in St. Louis. MY son works at Barnes Jewish Children's Hospital in St Louis, so he said I need to get the vaccine. I have one more to get.
