I certainly pray for her and her family.
I know her mom was 91, she had a long life,
but it's always too soon, regardless.
God bless her and her family.
Beautiful poem Miss Helen,
blessings...

Caregivers are wonderful. They really show their love and concern for the people they care for. They do need a break, though, as it can be stressful, as you mention. Our thanks and prayers go out to them for the service they perform. Great repeating line "Lord bless the ones whose gift is care." They are truly special people. A great subject for your poem. judi

Thank you so much, Judi. Linda (l.raven) has been caring for her mom for years, traveling from out of state. Last week her mom passed away. That's what prompted this poem.
Hugs!

Oh my goodness, L. Raven definitely has the prayers of myself and my friends. Caregivers are so important in the lives of those in need. Bless you Helen for not only dedicating your fine words to L. Raven but for reaching out.

That was lovely, Helen. I was so sad when she told me her mom had passed. We all think our moms are there forever, and then one day we wake up to the reality of them being taken home. I still miss mine. Your poem is a comfort for all who have cared and watched the angels take a loved one home. Well done, my friend. Sandra xxx

Thank you so much, Sandra! We can all offer prayers for the family's comfort. At any age, it's hard to say goodbye to one's mom. Hugs!

Thank you, Teri! She appreciates all the prayers. I'm sure that she and her brother are having to do so many things these days as they start their grieving process. Appreciate the super rating, too.
Hugs!

Hello, Helen,
Is Linda sick? I hope not, she is a sweet lady. Maybe her mother is sick. I know she takes care of her.
Your poem in honor of caretakers is moving and heartfelt. Good structure and flow. Well done!

-Thank you for sharing the
notes and poem for Linda, Helen.
-I was saddened to hear the news,
and thoughts and prayers are with her
and her family.
-You wrote a heartfelt poem showing
the impact the caregiver makes, and
the stress that goes with it.
-Then it the time comes when the
patient's job here on earth is done,
and they are at peace.

I love this stanza you put so much delicacy and beauty:"
Sometimes the stress seems far too much
And they themselves need healing touch
Or friend with whom their worries share
Lord, bless the ones whose gift is care" Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings,
