I love the imagery of words floating in the air and you are trying to catch them. This is something we all relate to as we want to act upon our inspiration at that moment. And we are all "hooked by writer's pen."

I liked and identified with this poem a lot. You have expressed the writing process for many of us I think. The thoughts are in us; the words are floating around; we just need the will to use a tool to connect them.

Another great entry for the contest. I love the metaphor of a pen being a hook. I find it's more my brain trying to find and catch all those words that keep running and hiding. I think some of those words are biased and let themselves be caught by their favorite writers. Harumph. :-)
