There is something very intriguing about the smell and feel of an old, old book. The earmarked pages and sometimes smudges of dirt or even jam makes me ponder over who might have read this book over the many many years since it was printed. I wonder if they enjoyed the book as much as I did. Good luck with the contest!

Absolutely true - a very special and loved aroma. Young ones can't experience this sensory pleasure simply by swiping a screen, although reading on a screen is better than not reading. Well expressed.
