Oh-oh! What have they done? I would have expected them to shoot out the tires. Now I'm going to be on the edge of my seat till the next chapter! I want to know how they get out of there.

Thank you so much for such an encouraging review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story looking forward to the next chapter. That means so much to me. I was afraid everyone was losing interest. I'm glad to hear that isn't true.
Thank you again for all your help, support, encouragement and friendship. It always means the world to me, take care.

On the edge of my seat. It did sound to me like he was coming on to her a bit. I wonder why his brother kept the two of them apart. As they were talking I felt the action slow down a bit. It was like a little freeze-frame that allowed them to reminisce and move on emotional as they spoke. Then it speeded back up again as her and the baby ducked down. Nice pace through this chapter.

Hello Mistydawn.
The story moves along with Alejandro's in the attempt to escape the past circumstances. I did think it was a little unusual that Anna was discussing her intimate life with Armando. Of course that was handled in dialogue.
Now that they are feet or yards away from escaping, another surprise shows its ugly head. We'll have to wait for the next chapter to find out what that surprise is. I'm speculating perhaps Armando was hit with a bullet.

You are really pulling the reader in, heartstrings, heartstings and all. There's a twinge of anxiety at this thought: "Giving him a suspicious look, I scoot closer to the door. "Thanks, I think." Then the tensions builds. You pulled the reader in closer: I actually was a bit suspicious of Armando with the discovery of thugs. You did a good job of putting that suspicion in our heads: "I glance up to find two goons standing on either side of the gate, machine guns pointing our way." This ends with great suspense...we'll be back.

This goes from a Hallmark channel movie to Patriot Games in a split second. I'm hoping the young couple can get to safety with that baby!!
Sending you my best today as always,

Thank you so much for reading my story. I'm honored. My stories have a tendency to go from good to bad or bad to worse in a heartbeat. One of my reviewers once said they feel sorry for my characters, what I put them through.
Thank you again for reading my chapter, I'm so glad you enjoyed it, take care.

A bit more excitement to negotiate and perhaps they'll be free, but I know that they may survive, because fortunately this is your story, and I'm sure it won't end with the death of Anna and the little one, hope marches one. I'm a romantic, well done, an excellent episode, blessings Roy

Oh, no. What has happened now? Or more to the point what is happening now. Will nothing ever be right anymore? Don't tell me that Armando has been hit. This is a great chapter. So full of suspense. Ulla:)))

Up one side of the mountain and then off the cliffs on the other side. Up and down just when we think things will change. They might. They could get worse. Thanks for sharing.

I wrote a review on this but I think I fell asleep and forgot to hit the save button. The time change is getting too me. Anyway, you left us with a big cliff-hanger when we wanted more. The chapter says narrow escape but it sound like it hasn't happened yet. I'm hoping they both escape. I look forward to the next post.
