You made my mouth water with this acrostic, I could taste the vanilla in these cakes as I remember baking them when I was young and haven't baked any for a very long time, a delicious acrostic Debra, love Dolly x

What fun! My girls would adore those cakes! hahaha Too bad their granny is not a baker. Never has been, never will be, far as I can see. Poor little girls. Thanks - btw, I think the acceptable spelling for mother is Mama - (though I still try to do Momma.) I do not think yours would pass a publisher's critical eye. Thanks!

This is very good and has a unique rhyme scheme that just feels right for the light hearted tribute to a mother's expertise in baking. It feels as if this is written from a child memory or point of view. That seems to add a little something.

Fairy Cakes - a fitting description for those cupcakes. Well done on this acrostic, great rhyming and the picture really is tempting. Makes me want to go to the kitchen and make some cupcakes.
