Dear nomi, with this poem you have come bearing the Sword of Truth in your pen that writes of wrongs, posted on the pages of history, far too long.
I would gladly give another five stars for the courage that you have shown in writing this post.

Thank you Suzanna, I just hope they don't come after me for having wrote this. If they do, I will take it and not be afraid.

Shining a light on the truth is always welcome and does not have to be written in anger but to inform. You did an excellent job in outlining the case against J. Edgar.
His reasons? fear, hated, a distorted sense of justice or superiority?
There is information here, I did not know. So it is a job well done in telling the story.
Regards,
Mary

Thank you Mary. Yes, Mr. Hoover was not a nice person. He was a crusader, but not in a good way.

FBI wasn't out to get blacks only, it was out and still is to control the whole country. The CIA is the real murderers, JFK, his brother and Marilyn, Lincoln were also a victims and the black figures you mentioned. CIA were an organized gang JFK was trying to shut them down starting with their U. S. bank that was tied to the Nazis. The President after the Kennedy's was involved and owned shares of the bank, he paid to have John assassinated. There was a documentary on TUBI. Sickening they tried to hid the bullet hole on front of his head by cutting his scalp and pulling the skin over to hide hole in skull so it looked like he got shot from back.

WE may never know the full extent of their evil deeds. As a matter of fact I am not hoping to raise too much attention with this poem as I do not wish to attract their ire. LOL.

Yes, they love to silence the truth!

You are exposing here, many things that are unknown in the general population. Add this list to the recent one where their efforts were aimed at a candidate running for office, with a smear campaign. Then go between your list and these last endeavors and I'm sure you will find many other
misguided occasions. Which part of the FBI is working for Justice?

I do not have the answers and the depth of the questions frighten me just a bit. The question comes up, just who the heck can you trust?

Our government gave a public apology to how they treated Alan Turing and I agree with you that the FBI should be a body of justice strange enough to apologise where necessary. Of course times were very different back then as with the case of Alan Turing who was medically castrated for being gay. I champion your poem here, love Dolly x

Thank you so much Dolly. I had some reservations about posting this poem, because I am not an angry person and did not wish to be perceived as one. I was inspired to write this poem and felt I needed to share it. I appreciate your review comments.

Tough poem to rate because the meter should be tightened up but the subject matter is presented in an excellent manner. I went with a 5.5 and the tie goes to the runner. More than the FBI owe apologies.

I know little of the USA apart from what I hear and see on the TV. It seems you have an almost insoluble problem with this race thing. We have it too but thankfully to a lesser extent. I do not understand why it should be so in either of our countries and we don't seem to have it quite so badly as you, particularly in your southern states. It is a sad business.

Blessedly, things have improves somewhat. However, until we come to grips with the misuse of public entities to persecute those we do not agree with there will always be a problem. Thank you for your review.

This poem flows along comfortably while it should be making readers uncomfortable. The FBI and other agencies of our government were designed to protect freedoms, but often protect those in power at the expense of citizens freedoms. You have made that point well.

Thank you George. To be frank, I was uncomfortable in writing this and even more so in posting it. I am not really the person this poem makes me look like I am.

Powerful and profoundly disturbing--a panoramic review of racist outrages perpetrated by the FBI--this could be a basis for an extensive prose piece.

Thank you Elisabeth. There have been a number of recent movies released during Black History Month that have portrayed the FBI's questionable past, which led to the creation of the poem and its subsequent posting.

That is very true. However, I do not want to attract too much attention to myself, lest I become their latest victim. I am not that brave.
