I'll need to see those films when my binging of fluff movies is over. The FBI is only as good as it is made to be. As Thomas Jefferson said: "The cost of freedom is constant vigilance." That includes keeping an eye on our own institutions.
Something that may explain the FBI's actions was the constant threat of the USSR trying to incite groups with a chip on their shoulder about the government to help undermine it.
Hoover was a piece of work though.

While I don't feel qualified to proffer an opinion on the state of politics in America, it does seem to me that the FBI has been politicised for a long time (in my memory as far back as JFK and probably much further). Their recent conduct towards President Trump and his administration was also absolutely disgraceful, to say the least, but I'm sure this was orchestrated by an insular group at the top, rather than the good men and women of the FBI's rank and file.
It seems though that this is what the people are having to deal with - a cabal of criminals at the top in the service of an evil agenda, whether that be via blackmail, or bribery, or whatever other reason. I sincerely hope that the light of truth will eventually out the ringleaders of this cabal, conclusively and forever more, and that the reputation of the FBI will be restored as an unbiased, equitable upholder of the law. -Blu

Actually common sense dictates that we do just that. Anyone with a primary grade d school course of biology should be able to figure that out. The Holy Bible makes no mention of any people other than Adam and Eve being the parents of all humans. So it makes sense that all skin colors are deviations of the original color, whatever it was. Does it really matter? I think not.

I liked this free verse poem, which raises a lot of issues in the US. Even today, the extremes seems to reach a new height every day. That you still seem to be a democracy sometimes surprises me. I live and was brought up in Europe, but I'm still half American and have come to the US throughout my life. My brother and his family, who are my family is from MA. My other family Is my daughter and my three grandchildren in Denmark. I live in Spain. I'm telling you all this trying to explain what I'm saying. I love your country, which is half mine.
