Nice one line poem. I wonder if roosters are just reacting to the joy of new day or do they actually feel its their duty to awaken the rest of the world. I really enjoyed the music. You have good taste.

The imagery you describe is very animated. Your description appeals to many senses, even the sense of excitement. For some it could arouse a variety of emotions. Well orchestrated.

Hearing a rooster in at daybreak is something I miss as I live in the city. I remember growing up on a farm be awakened but the crowing roosters. Have a blessed weekend.

Once while living on a farm, we had a rooster who was mixed up on this time and he didn't wait until pre-dawn he just crowed in the middle of the night. LOL Anyway, I enjoyed reading your contest entry. Good luck with the contest.

Some things never change and we don't seem to wonder why? Imagine this... a rooster gets up every morning at daybreak and without fail sings
the same song... Cockle Doodle Do for over 2000 years, that we know about and perhaps many more during B.C. that we don't know about. I find that quite amazing. Thanks for sharing.

God's alarm clock. It's in their nature to do so, I suppose. Thank you for the lovely review. Sending you my best today as always, dear Ralf.

This one-line poem, Daybreak, uses eleven words to remind the readers of the dawn's alarm clock and how we all can hear it even when we are not around.

Sally,
You must have put this out before we became fans. Your one line poem/entry has such well chosen words to create clear imagery
and ends with such a positive message.
I enjoyed your music videos and your presentation rocks with
the cock a doodle doo!

Your one-line poem is appealing and descriptive. Even people who aren't up at daybreak appreciate what it--and the rooster's enthusiastic
sounds--signify.

I hear this sound from a farm not far from my house in the Canaries, it sometimes tells me to start my day and then other times I roll over and have an extra hour of sleep! A fine write Sally, love Dolly x

Yep, they certainly do get up at dawn. My daughter has one. Fortunately, he doesn't keep it up very long. They can all go back to sleep. That rooster is gutsy, too. He went straight for a VERY large dog who dared stick his nose through the fence. Good luck in the contest.
