Nice and Live message expressed in a sensible way! And also Colorful! Great choice of words and artwork! Letters colours are blue but expresses more a change than a state of mind. Nice to see and read. Thanks for sharing!

This is a beautiful poem featuring springtime in all its array of colors and metaphors for tasting spring with its multiple colors, such as a smorgasbord does quite effectively in this post. Very nicely done, I have found one, that I can vote for, with all confidence, knowing I made the right choice. Best wishes for your future and good luck with the contest!

Thanks Jesse for your confidence in this contest entry. Pleased you liked it as a metaphor. My writing style is typically 5-7-5 syllable Haiku. Longer verses are not in my poetry wheelhouse. And I will rarely review the same, even when I am a fan of the poet.

Oh wow! Does It have to be as short as that? I will take note as I hardly write a short haiku or 5-7-5 poem.

From now on I will see our surrounding multi hued fields of wild flowers in a completely different way.
I would never have thought to compare all those bright colours to a smorgasbord...
... but it does work !
yellow daisies ..ananas ( love it on my toothpick pickings)
Poppies -apples , raw ham, salami( yummy)
TinyMauve orchids-beetroot( which I love)
etc
The closing line works well seeing wild flowers last at less 6 months spring and summer .
Flowers are a common theme here on fanstory but your approach is unique , original , creative .. worthy of a 6 star vote .
PS: the artwork like always is beautiful and complements well your poem.
