Startling and powerful--vivid imagery--brilliant incorporation of the requisite words--I'd never have guessed their were constraints--not a word sounds forced! Stunning piece. Cheers. LIZ

You've done an excellent job crafting a flash fiction story using the required words of the contest. This is creative and riveting with a note of sadness. The artwork you chose pairs perfectly. Well done.

This poem, The Homeless Man's Dream, builds on a man's needs that are as real as a home, as clothing, or as a meal to eat. Hunger presents itself in our dreams so there is no escape.

What a sad poem, and yet realistic at the same time. We catch a glimpse of the real person within, seeking to share a treat, and give pleasure to another person in poverty. But in vain. Still alone.

If I can summarize your story, I will say the homeless man wish for a warm embrace and another human approach. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

I like the picture... It seems like there are more and more homeless people on the street. This is a bad sign. Our government needs to turn the economy around and find more jobs for people.

Thanks for sharing.

Well, I have to say that I was hoping for a better ending but the truth is, that often there are not happy endings. You developed your character well with your descriptios. Well done.

This is a different take for this contest. Most of the entries are about winter leaving and Spring coming soon. Your poem took on a whole different take to the contest. Good luck!

You have made good use of the designated words to tell the story of this homeless man, shown in the picture you chose. I would think that loneliness would be the worst part of being homeless.
