Ciao Marco!
This entry tickled my interest ... and the ah ah line is cool!
Ogres are supposed to cruel man eating monsters ( we saw enough of them in the Lord of the Rings) but this one has a friendly demure despite the red eyes.
Obviously the waves act as a pomice keeping his curves smooth ..
as for his colour .. he must have just been jet washed because the pics I found when I googled him ...he is green which works well seeing ogres are green like Shrek ( biggrin)
He has been there since Jan.2014.
This Ogre is a great tourist attraction .. I noticed that in America to draw people many towns invent attraction more or less interesting. I found this out watching the film Michael1993
... John Travolta plays an archangel who is headed to New York .. along the way he wants to visit all the tourist attraction invented by folks to attract people to stop at their town .. the largest frypan, the largest ball of wool in metal etc ..
This Ogre of course has an artistic value .

Tempeste,
So pleased you checked out this ogre. There are several US cities that suffered from extreme economic downfalls who developed a theme to successfully rescue the town?s finances. The Ogre helped that Englush location.
A funny one is Twinsburg, Ohio. They attract twins to visit.

Amazing what salt water can do for the body. For now I just have to use that pumice stone. Love the art and can find nothing to change in your Haiku. Write on. A 'ku a day nourishes the soul.

Hello, Mark,
I like the idea of an ogre at the beach...I would love to see it. Good satori...the salty waves smooth out the sharp edges.. good job!

Yes Gypsy, those salty waves act as the pumice in the ogre?s bath!

Hello
What a nice wee poem about this statue. Orges are such a weird thing, apparently they can be dangerous, but kind, and I hope this guy can swim..

He just sits there. He is too heavy to swim (-; Unlike most humans, he does take a (sea)bath twice a day. Apparently algae is a condition he can?t eliminate from his tough ?skin.?
