This poem grew on me with a few readings. The words are simple and well-chosen, the question at the end confronts the reader to do some work on their own to get the point. Nice work

A very varied presentation. Succinctly saying and showing, "As the world turns." Isn't it the truth that no matter what, our minds are like a whirling dervish; they never stop?

Thank you for your Support and Review, yes, I believe our Thoughts will lead us to where we focus our attention.
Comment from Janice Canerdy
Your five-line poem is well-written and and thoughtful. Worries certainly can be logically based, originating with real events, etc. I agree, though, that, through imagination, we surely can make things worse.

In my opinion, a striking poem in its entirety - more realism than philosophy, especially in today's world - cleverly articulated in its easy free verse. Best wishes in the contest with this striking entry...

A very thought provoking poem, it makes you wonder if perhaps you're just manufacturing your own problems in your mind. I don't have to do this however, I have enough real ones to think about. A interesting take with this 5 line poem...Best of luck in the contest. :)

Before going to bed we should keep aside worries, bad thoughts and negative feelings so that when we open our eyes in the morning we feel grateful for another day God has given us to live well. Thoughts are only in our mind which we can control Interesting five-line poem. Good luck!

It's almost as if we got ahead of ourselves in evolution. Ah, what to do with these brains ... yes, let's make life tough. A malady only man could devise. Nice insight. Best of luck in the contest.

'Somos esclavos', is an extremely well-written piece. Woven through each short line are the golden threads of truth. This extremely thought-provoking piece was a pleasure to both read and review. Good luck with the contest! My fingers are crossed for you.

(Proverbs 23:7) "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he:" As a pastor at my church I can attest that this is very true. Many people are creators of their own hell. The image you chose is softens the blow of this reality.

Worries,
Burdens,
Planted in your Mind,
Crying for some attention,
Your Brain's Invention?
*yes many of our problems are only in our head. Its strange how the mind works.
