To me, this story is one of determination. The determination of both the dog and her owner. In the face of all opposition they manage to stay together until death. It must have been rather like a marriage. The writing quality is good. I have no real complaints, except that the presentation doesn't really stand out from the crowd. It is missing wow factor, somehow.

Oh my goodness, his is such a sad story and I have a tear in my eye after reading this Mary. A snippet of history and your memory of your dear dog who was loyal and always made it home until he just was tired of the travel. How very sad that he could not live out his days with the family he loved. Dogs do mourn and my heart broke here. My husband had a cat called Jake and he died two weeks after my husband of a broken heart. I enjoyed reading your story Mary, albeit very sad, love Dolly x

Oh my goodness, his is such a sad story and I have a tear in my eye after reading this Mary. A snippet of history and your memory of your dear dog who was loyal and always made it home until he just was tired of the travel. How very sad that he could not live out his days with the family he loved. Dogs do mourn and my heart broke here. This is the third pet story in a row that I have read and cried about. What are you people doing to me? Sigh very good story that kept my interest from beginning to end. My dad was a history teacher and took us into Boston many times.
