I am sorry that you and your husband got the Covid, but happy that you had help and muddled through it all. Especially at a time when you wanted your surgery to be over and done, something had to come up. Everyone needs to stay on their toes and not become lax about precautions.

You are so right, Begin Again. The contact tracer was able to trace my exposure to the facility where I had my eye surgery. My husband and I are both much better now.

It's funny, if one visits the doctor, they ask if you've got any cold or flu symptoms, the dentist is even more rigorous, they take your temperature etc. but I don't actually know anyone who has had Covid, such is the diligence of both the state and federal governments, it's only returning expats, who they quarantine straight away in special hotels, that are problematic. Beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

This is the problem that many people don't understand. Just because you tested negative the first time, doesn't mean you're imune. You were both unlucky, but I'm so glad you got your ops in alright, and that you're both doing well at the moment. Scary times, aren't they? I wish you both well for the future. :)) Sandra xx

Thanks so much, Sandra. I am going to be tested again tomorrow because I still have symptoms and definitely don't want to share this with my daughter's family (next door)or anyone else. Jan

I had an asthma attack that made Will and I miss work when I got tested. We were 90% sure it was asthma but you can never be too careful. I hope you guys start to feel better soon.

Wow, you've been through a lot of major health issue this month! I'm happy you got through your surgeries successfully before you got the Covid positive results, and that you are doing well to combat it. Wishing you all the best.

Mind-blowing! Stunning and sobering, masterfully narrated. You convey the irony of Corona--one can test negative during incubation--one can contract Corona despite rigorous precautions. Well done, and timely!

Hang in--hope you recover in full ASAP.

Very well-written and quite a cautionary tale. You were both very lucky to get sick but not REALLY sick. You did a good job putting the story in order and explaining the sickness. Best of luck with this.

I'm so sorry you and your husband got sick. I'm glad it was manageable and you did not end up in the hospital. I have had only one covid test and it was before surgery in April. My husband has had two also for procedures. My niece had covid in the very early stages and she has linger issues with her heart and her lungs. She's only 36. I pray that this will be over or at least more manageable so that we can return to some normalcy.

Me, too. blondie560. A new normal that is manageable would be very nice. Jan

Thank you for sharing your story. I am sorry that both you and your husband had Covid, but am glad you have recovered. Your story proves that one can come in contact with the virus anywhere. I have been pretty much at home for the past year, and have not had any problems, for which I am very thankful.

Wow Jan! Just Wow! See, I would have freaked out at the first indication of an illness. I am skitzzo when it comes to this virus. I worry too much and as it is I am getting my first shot on Friday. I worry about that too. What if the person administering the shots doesn't know what he or she is doing. Yikes! Be careful, you two and God bless you. Bob
