Thank you, Valda. I felt so sorry for her as she was in so much pain for years! It's hard in the Canadian system to get elective surgeries. Before the pandemic, we had many Canadians coming here for their surgeries. Hugs!

I corresponded with Joy on a regular basis and was sorry to see she had left FanStory.Would you please convey my very best wishes to her for a swift recovery from her operation and a rapid return to two leggedness.
I remember how some days she told me she dragged herself out of bed
because one of the grandchildren was coming to stay or there had been an arrangement made she wouldn't break "for all the tea in China." Please add my name to the list of "those who care" and let Joy know her Aussie
friend stilll thinks of her and remembers all the lovely chats we had about grandchildren. Molly would be at school by now. I "watched" her grow from a newborn baby to a very pretty toddler with all the possibilities of
being a heart stealer before long. cheers Cass

I can relate to this and my prayers go out to her and her family. My surgery was postponed because of the Covid and my stroke. So I know what she went through to finally get this done. Soon as I can get clearance I will be back to have mine done this is very kind of you to keep us up to date on our dear friend and yours Joy. Brighter days will be here for her.

Yes, with the socialized medicine, it was very hard to schedule the surgery. My sense of time is probably off and I think she waited 2 years for this surgery. Thanks, LisaMay!
