Helen,

Sometimes I feel so dense. I am not sure how I missed this whole book. Or else thought it was part of a different book. Ugh. I'm losing it. But I think this is brilliant and I'm so glad you're doing this. You're an angel among angels. Thanks for all you do. You are an encourager and day-brightener!

I have a couple thoughts for you - but you're welcome to toss 'em. *smile*

1.) We pray for healing for dear Joy
As she has hips replaced
May doctors their best skills employ
As each part is well placed.
--> and naught is done in haste
--> as each part is well-braced
--> etc - to try to avoid using the same root-word

2.) With joy she will improve
--> consider highlighting the 'joy' here - italics or bold or both. *smile*

This was so cool! I haven't been able to touch base with this chick in a little bit. I knew the surgery was coming up. Thanks for being right on top of things. I will have to pop over and check on our sweet girl.

BTW, I'm dreadfully worried about Barb. Have you heard from her lately?

Hugs-

Hi Robyn! Thank you for the helpful review. You know, I just pounded this one out quickly so that people would be praying. I am not on Facebook daily like Barb and Joy. But you will see Barb is posting.
    Hugs!

I did not know Joy, but now that I have a right hip that is slowly disintegrating, I will send her all the positive thoughts I can think of. I am waiting to hear how this hip replacement business works since I'm pretty sure I will eventually need one.
Wishing Joy a very speedy and smooth recovery!

Thank you, Ryma! They have really improved hip surgeries these days. Hope you can get the best surgeon if you go ahead with it. She posted on facebook that she climbed stairs already!

I'm sure she with recover with all the well wishes of FanStorians, Helen. One voice multiplied by two or more equals a force of love. I don't know Joy but I'm sure she will experience it with her new hip. Thank you for being a voice to stir the rest of us from our sleep.

This poem, Prayer for Joy, might cause us to jump for Joy and say Hip Hip Hoorah for those new hips. There will be dancing when it's all said and done.

This was so well done, Helen. Nice rhyme pattern. I didn't really know Joy that well but definitely she has my prayers not only for her surgery going well but also for a speedy recovery. Such a shame she had to wait so long.

Thank you, Alie! So many Canadians come to our town for surgeries because they can't wait that long. Sigh.
    Appreciate your kind prayers!

Helen,

That's so kind of you to write this poetic prayer for Joy.
I certainly shall join in the prayer for her successful
surgery and quick (as much as can be) recovery. She
must have been in quite a bit of pain during the last
year.

Lovely rhymed prayer,
Anna

Yes, Anna. I think it was first discovered three years ago so yes, she has been in a lot of pain for all that time. Thanks for reviewing! Hugs!

I really doubt it. Of course, one never knows. But she's been away for well over a year now...

You are very kind in writing these beautiful poems of prayer for all of your friends in need. I, of course, didn't know Joy, but I wish her a speedy recovery. I had a hip replacement a few years ago - not elective, but an emergency since I fell playing pickle ball and broke it. At least I didn't have to wait over a year!

Ouch! My goodness - I didn't think pickle ball would be that dangerous. Hope the recovery was complete and quick. Thanks for sharing that and reviewing, Judy! Hugs!!

Yes the friends I was trying to convince to give it a try, we?re not convinced! I just made a careless move. Fortunately I was in the best physical shape I?d ever been in, that summer and I had little pain. I was back playing after my six week check up.
