In six splendid, well-rhymed couplets, you express in your own words the principles which motivated both Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. Those who hate and urge others to do the same are the principal dividers in this world, and we'd all be better off without them. The only remedy is exactly the example you set by the action of loving all and declaring that publicly to make others aware, in hope they'll agree and follow the same path. My own parents were of this viewpoint, and I have followed it all my life too. For there to be real peace on Earth, both we and our elected leaders must choose love over hate. The problem is how to deal with the incorrigible few who flatly refuse to recognize the harm that hate does. Superb.

You are most welcome, Nolan. Yes, it is the only way that ever has made sense to me. What a person does and says counts. Outward appearance is only for visual recognition as the unique individual each of us is. The haters focus only on groups, ignoring our God-given individuality. In relatively few words, your poem goes straight to the core of the issue. -- Mike

A powerful declaration of peace my friend. I often wonder how we got here and then I look at the history books and even the Bible and we can find hatred and resentment. Truly God intended for us to live peacefully with one another and love each other. I hope and pray that one day we get it.
