Our master bedroom has always been on the first floor, so for all the surgeries we have both had, that's the only bed in the house. Funny you should post this on the eve of my first hip replacement surgery. Time for the next one TBA. Hope your hip is doing well. I'm a bit too distracted at the moment to say much more except that this is exceptional.

aaah... bedroom 'politics' can be hard to fathom. Who is master in his own home these days? Many men feel on the outer which makes it justifiable, in their eyes, to look elsewhere for solace. Your poem touches on this most effectively.

It is an old story. The actions of a few bad actors cause all the succeeding actors a bad rating. So many men have been treated badly because the women in their lives are just waiting for them to exhibit the bad behavior the women are expecting from them. So, many of us are guilty well before we have committed a crime.
