You always find a unique perspective to write about. I often wonder where you find your inspiration. You create a bit of a mystery here, whether intentional or not. Always interesting and well done.

    Thank you so much.
BTW, I have inadvertantly sent U
a reply? PM? that was supposed to go to someone else. It contains several "jokes". One embellished. LOL I hope I have not offended you.

Hi victortouche your poem titled The Bedroom about the master bedroom seems like there is a bit of disagreement between a wife and husband. I have been married for sixty-years years ago we made a vow-- Never go to your bedroom when there is a tiff
Smiles to this
Men just
don't understand,
aren't sensitive,
never home-

Vic,

Oh, man. I hope this isn't really true. I hope it's just make believe and 'arguing the other side'. I also think it's really not fair if the man pays all the bills that he's just expected to be the one to sleep on the couch, in the guest room, or on the 'dog house' if there are troubles.

I can tell you for a fact, that when my hubby and I went through some difficulties, I didn't even consider the idea of asking/insisting on him getting out of his bed. My stars. Even if we're not getting along, I still love the man and respect him to the end of the earth. If I'm that mad, I can march my own happy hiney to the couch, I reckon. And I did. haha

This was a very good piece. But I sure hope it's fiction. Sending hugs-

This poem brings up a different feeling in me. My hubby is always there and we do share the kingsize bed, but may not for long. LOL I've developed a restless leg syndrome and I move constantly, often hitting him. I even gave myself a black eye once. i hope you get to sleep in your kingsize bed soon

    Patty,
I have had restless leg for years,
    and have 5 diagnosed sleep
disorders. Ha! Now, I could accept/
understand if any of these kept my partner
from sleeping, that I should be able to understand
some sort of compromise with the sleeping.

Unfortunately, none of those things applied
to my former situation. God knows, I'm a humble,
    beautiful, talented, passionate, considerate, interesting,
amateur cook, painter, golfer, bowler, Harley Rider,
    educated, sensitive kind of guy.

As you can tell, I've remained humble.

    LOL

Yes, I understand. I wouldn't be married 46 years, and happily so, if I didn't. Sorry to hear if this is the case for you, dear Doug. A house is not a home unless it is enjoyed by all.

It's good to see you today and hearing that you are alive! A Victortouche sighting!
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xos...

How poignantly amusing the take on 'being Master of one's own dwelling' ...

'I've always wanted to sleep in mine too.' (An ingenious turning point in your poem!)

Enjoyed!!!

Why not sleeping in mater bedroom is the question that kept rolling through my head after I read this. Is it because waiting for the spouse to come home? What is funny is I hardly sleep in the bedroom anymore because husband snores. LOL. More than making me think deeper it made me just question the whys. So in a way I got this but in another way I questioned. Sigh.

Yes I trolled and found your humor and the sad state of affairs in your relationship very humbling. You have gone through a lot and i wonder why people stay around others. Some feel that sense of responsibility, some religion, some on the other hand just like to torment others. I hope overall you find a happy outcome and a pain free one.

-Nice artwork and
presentation, Doug.
-You have a lot on your mind!
-Did you actually have hip surgery?
-You present many thoughts
for the reader to ponder.
-You do a good job "showing
the other side," especially
after you say, "Wait,
I think maybe,
I got it."
-Very good concluding
lines that make a good point!
-Well done.

    Thank you so much.
Yes, I've had both hips replaced,
my left knee, and a couple of
    nerve transpositions.

    But, could be worse.

The Bedroom
by victortouche

Hello, Victor,

I am not sure if I got the meaning of your poem. I think it's about a woman's view of men. Also, the woman is handicap and can't go upstairs to her bedroom. I'm thinking her man doesn't care much about her. It's a sad poem.

It is about a man/wife relationship. But i don't know how you came up with the other conclusions. The woman is not handicapped, I was. I can't go upstairs. She doesn't care about me, not the other way 'round.

But, I do appreciate your continued reading of me.

Hello Doug,
Eighteen years is a long time, a life sentence these days,
with only one short reprieve for hip surgery.
Sounds like something happened eighteen years ago that lingers still,
reasonable or not.
Perhaps neither side understands (the other)
Excellent free flowing thoughts.
Best wishes to all.
Robert

Yes, it is always with both sides,
except this time because I am totally
right and always have been, and so on.

    LOL
