Oh dear, something has gone badly wrong somewhere here! But I think that this time you have made your point very clearly! Maybe that's the answer - put it at the end of the story. Might work! Lol. (I asked for reviews with one of my humorous poems (about failure), and the suggestion was that I remove that part - but instead I wrote a few more verses asking people to disregard my request for their time and words. I quite enjoyed myself!)

I'm not so savvy on the receiving end of satire if I don't know the writer.

    I appreciate the validation!

:):) Boldness conveys the message of fearlessness in action. It may be seen as brash, or offensive. The nuance can include the attitude and overt or hidden judgments implied by the writer to the reader. Sock it to them!I enjoyed your comments. Thanks for sharing.

Really you have people that don't understand the satire in your story. Don't feel bad, we are all different with different taste. Just choose the positive and forget the negative.

I do appreciate the serious side of your StoryLand posts as you have done more research on the site's workings than any of us. On the other had, I also fess up to the fact I'm slow in the area of satire but it's not me only. Remember when Jonathon Swift wrote that satirical piece about cannibalism and they were ready to kill him? So yes, satire is a tricky area. But your fans know you and so you are safe with your main readers.

Truths run around in full camouflage firing potshots. People are so different in their perceptions and appreciations that we can't please all the people all of the time. Too bad - just keep it coming for those of us who enjoy a laugh at your expense, or anybody's for that matter. It's an incredibly funny cruel world, yet some choose to take it seriously.

As you well know from my reviews to your blind entries, I'm not so savvy on the receiving end of satire if I don't know the writer.

It's possibly better to take someone seriously than laugh at them, just in case.

Most of the time your intentions are quite obvious when you self-deprecate. But it is true that sometimes (as you know) I do wonder and so I suppose others do too.
But not very often.

Hahahahaha. Some people just don't get IT, huh? It's great when you can laugh at yourself and laugh at others that get mad at you for laughing at yourself. Sigh. Society.

You are right, Liz. Maybe ignore the description box and/or notes and the category. I enjoyed your mini 'rant.' I know most of the time when you are kidding or giving readers a satire look at something, but not always. However, I never lower the rating because of my misunderstanding.

Respectfully, Jan

Just keep up the good work. It's always fun reading your mini-rants and pseudo-rages. Of course there's always a little truth in these subjects...or else where's the fun?
