I swam in the water at a pebble beach in a Greek island called Santorini, there was a vertical drop into the sea, I had a real job trying to ascend to the beach with my delicate English feet disturbed by the pain inflicted by those pebbles, heh heh. Well done, a wonderful stirring a painful memory Debra, bless you, Roy

terrific imagery, I like the "pebbles clatter", lets the force of the waves be known. Nice photo, looks like the beach that almost got me. no kidding.

Debra - this is a beautiful bit of verse that is very fitting of a Haiku. Your description and word choice blend wonderfully with the image you have provided. This is an excellent break from so many poems on this site (though all wonderful in their own way!) that are focusing on the cold and snow. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful poem, a rhythmic wave of color and sensation:) "
saline tide
skittishly ebbs and flows -
pebbles clatter" Thank you for sharing and good luck with the next chapter.
