I really enjoyed reading this piece of work. I found it to be extremely uplifting. I especially like these lines:

If you find your heart is troubled,
you will lose your desire to sing.

Thanks for sharing. Stay well.

This holds such wonderful advice on how to handle anger and unforgiveness in our lives. Anger does not really hurt the one with whom we are angry, but it does take a toll on our body , soul and spirit.

A food moral we wish everyone could learn. Life really is about choice--love or hate, and about both can be said "the more you give, the more you have.

You peoms are always so full of good advice, Jay, and so pleasing to read. Hate in your heart festers until it takes you over completely. But, a smile can turn it all around and whatever problems you have will quietly disappear with the help of all those loving friends and family around you. Well done, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Thank you for giving all of us your optimistic perspective and plea for people to hold love in their hearts instead of hate. You do a beautiful job of describing the consequences.
Thank you for sharing!

Hello Jake,
You write the various sonnet forms very well,
with very good tetrameter and abcb rhymes.
The message is much needed, but sometimes difficult
to adhere to; start the day with a smile. :)
Nicely done.
Best wishes.
Robert

Yes, this sonnet tells us the we need to love and accept each other because otherwise we are slowly killing ourselves with the effects of our negative emotions.
Keep writing and stay healthy

You are the master of the traditional sonnet. Make it seem so easy yet I know it is not. Like the message and the last stanza's the best

Anger is bad, bad for your heart
and it will make blood pressure rise.
Just look around, perhaps and see,
the beauty of God's golden skies.

Just start each day with many smiles-
They will carry you further miles.
