Ciao poet!
I love how you used the given words in this contest
your narrative recalls the love and gestures of a grandmother that has now passed away.
I have some sweet memories of mine but I honestly don't remember ever telling her how much I loved her or even thanking her for all the care she gave me. ( big sigh).

I like your poem. It carries sadness in its verses. Nice flow to it and easy to follow. I agree, lots of people have lost loved ones due to this virus. Many in my family and some of my friends have gotton it. One of my friends so far has died from it. God bless...and good luck in the contest!

I hear so many stories of those who could not get close enough to the Covid victim to say goodbye. I am glad you like my poem and appreciate your kind praise.

One of my friends lost a sister and her husband because of the virus. She wasn't allowed near her sister to say good-bye... but by the time her husband died he didn't have it anymore and she was allowed to say good-bye...She had it too but recovered...

You did a good job incorporating the required words into a meaningful poem from a child's POV. I enjoyed reading it although it is poignant. Your lines flow smoothly with good rhymes. Your message is clear. The image is supportive, too.
Best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

Your poem is very beautiful, and unfortunately so very timely with so many Covid deaths. It has used all the words necessary in a smooth and unforced way. Best wishes for your entry.

Wow, this is a very creative way to weave the words given for the Use These Words contest into a poem. A wonderful tribute to your Gram, this is really great. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest.

This poem was great, it had a nice transition from on stanza to the next. Also I can relate because I miss my grandma, and I try to find anything that reminds me of her. You got my vote!

Very nicely written poem to a grandmother, or any loved one. It's a good theme within the constraints of the writing prompt. Best of luck in the contest.

Very well written words and so timely. How many people are feeling this way who have lost loved ones this past year and were not able to say a proper goodbye. Reminds us how we need to let our loved ones know we love them all the time, as we do not know what tomorrow holds.
