Whether they are, as you say, I don't know--though I am often astounded by the decisions as to winners vs the honorable mentions.

Yes, I try to read those in winners circle, if for other reason than to get an understanding of what those secret voters are looking for. I was shocked that honorable mentions get five bucks.
But, they are rigged. Leave off the sexual content warnings. Or any warning.

Hello Liz.
I entered two contests in the last two weeks. Prior to that it had been five months. I got them out of my system with this last entry. My days of winning contests here are long gone.

I have soured on the contests because of the previous disqualification I mentioned before.

I remember--dialog purportedly had to be between people: NO DOGS ALLOWED.

That's the one. Maybe they should read Animal Farm or any of the other hundreds of pieces that depict dialogue between animals, people, and even inanimate objects.

Do you really think the contests are rigged? In what way? I ask because I am running out of time. When I joined Fan Story, I set myself two years (the length of the subscription given to me by my daughter as a birthday present) to win a 100$ contest which would pay for my next subscription. I recently amended that to 200$ as I want to go to Jim's next class (brilliant teacher) which will take a further 100$ - otherwise I will have to work harder at my dayjob - but that would reduce the time I have to play on FS -dilemmas, dilemmas. Katherine xx
