I liked this poem so much that I voted for it for repetition. I feel like crying when reading this poem. I have written one poem on this same subject but in a different way and posted it in FS. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ finished His works for our salvation by dying on the cross. Thanks for sharing. Kit.

This is a beautiful poetic telling of the Good News message. Without the Lord's sacrifice, no human could spend eternity in the presence of God. Because the price was paid in full for our sin, we can rejoice in our belief that we belong to Him forever.

Oh yes indeed, those words mean so much more than even Christians don't understand, God took care of every malady known, the prime one being death itself, but so many other things tied up in that message. Beautifully written Portia, and excellent rhyming, articulate post, blessings Roy

Your profoundly spiritual, skillfully written poem is an excellent response to the prompt. All lines are great; the "refrain" is especially good. Your description of how Jesus finished His mission on earth is biblically accurate. and so moving.

Hello Friend,
It's a nice piece of Spiritual Poetry meeting the desired norms, having lucid as well as perfectly matching the theme phraseology, smooth flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lovely rhyming scheme, and beautifully depicting its theme.
The most noteworthy lines are: "Jesus suffered...our last breath."
Picture enhances depth and beauty of the poem.
BEST OF LUCK in the contest.

Nice poem that brings our souls to recover the real view of life and to have present the important things. To remember that He died for us to recover is always nice to remember. It gives clues on how to act in our lives accordingly. Congratulations!

Effective use of repetition makes for a powerful piece--this would have also made a fine entry in a faith contest--the presentation is stunning and the imagery vivid!

What a beautiful poem and fantastic repeated lines you chose. I can think of no greater repeated lines. I loved the poem and felt it was well written and well rhymed. You did a great job.
