Maybe I could write a nice political poem, after all, having read a couple of these entries. Unfortunately, my one and only political poem this year was a rant so I am going to leave this contest to those of you who are better at it than me. Good luck in the contest. Rdfrdmom2

    well, most of mine have been, also. Had to rewrite these 3 times. But left the picture in.

I think you tread close to the margins of the rules with this one. Do I detect a little bias peeping through, or is that purely in the mind of the reader? LOL

    Tony, I don't believe anything was said about a smidge of bias as long as there was no animosity. Also, in the real world, it appears that as far as 'nice' and 'politics' goes, "ne'er the twain shall meet." This is as nice as I can get when my country is being destroyed from within.

Good use of the rules for this contest. Boy did you cover a lot in 3 stanzas. The one thing I feel people are not seeing in our country is, we as a country are running away from God and all he stands for at record speed. This is a problem that can only be taken care of through prayer, not elections. We need to pray that people will come back to our In God We Trust and mean it. Hooe you do well with this.

    that is very true. I am probably talking way out of school, here, but I don't know many democrats who believe in God. But I do know this - kids are not being taught to love their country, to be proud to be an American. They are being taught that we (they) are racist, selfish, capitalists - as if there is something evil in being a capitalist. They have no knowledge of or respect for our history. I could go on and on.

    I totally agree with you. It is sad times for sure. We have to keep believing God is in control and keeping praying for our kids. Need to plant as many Godly lessons in them as we can so when they are old they won?t depart. They have to have something to depend on and it isn?t what this country is offering right now.

Quite a contrast between the two parties: one are doing something good, the other are emulating the good under the mask of the nice and greater good. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.
