You responded to the club challenge with a wonderful poem. The sentiments were perfectly highlighted by the unique artwork. You have inspired me to give it a try myself. Well done.

I enjoy good writing. My writing is not to everyone's taste, because I can be dark at times, but no one ever tried to make me write in a style that was not mine. You will find friends and family here. We want you, and everyone to succeed. And sometimes we will give you our opinion on editing. You may not like it, and it might temporarily hurt your feelings. But I can tell you that most of the time they were right. Even if they told me my baby wasn't perfection itself. Other views are the whole point of this site. You are good and will do well. Keep it up. Karen

With this poem, you illustrate what it so commonly true of lovers. We compliment and complete each other. When the person we love gives us space to be who we are, we are complete and know that we are loved. Well done!

Wow.. this poem hit home a little too hard. There's someone I have been unwillingly parted with, and haven't spoken to in six months. He felt like my other half, and since he's been gone pieces of me have felt missing. All this to say, you wrote a very short yet effective poem that I definitely enjoyed reading. ~Heather

Good morning from hot Spain,
Oh gosh, what a lovely heartfelt poem.
And, what a perfect image to go along with it.
As a watercolour artist I always enjoy the perfect image when I read a poem. So I always take time to chose what I believe works to convey my thoughts.
As we all know many of us are visual...
I wish you the very best of luck in the contest.

A beautiful five lines that illustrates what true love is. I feel half empty with my wife gone. True lovers do complete each other; God said we should be "help-meets' to one another. Both partners supply what is needed in the other.

Hi Joan,
I wonder how many people find their exact mate, that special one? You make her complete; she makes you complete.
I love this line,
"You are my mirror"
I also like the rhymes here,
"To the bottom of our souls
We make each other whole"
If I had a sixer left, you'd have it, my dear. Terrific entry for the "Lovers" event in "Picture This".
Hugs,
Kimbob

What a wonderful story. It resounds like my companionship. Can we even imagine where we might have been without THE ONE beside us lifting us up not pushing us down.
