This is a nicely written tribute for Joan. I like this. I wonder what landscape your are painting ? what galaxy are you cruising? It's not the end my dear friend it's just the beginning. Nicely done.

Great lines to introduce each stanza. You illustrate how much we can know about a person without actually having met him or her. You mention Italian cooking, her poems, her travels. Excellent conclusion, It's not the end, it's just the beginning. Lovely words of comfort in your poem. judi

I loved this tribute to JoanE, dear Helen. Your words, and well melodic lines seems to chant a chorus of words, hugs, and kisses. A living testament that the power of the words trespass limits of time and space. Well done.

Lyenochka,
Wow! You've surely captured Joan's artistic and gracious spirit here in your well penned free verse tribute to a talented women so many of us miss.
I particularly liked the following lines:
"because you shared glimpses
of your soul
in well sculpted words"
I would like to make a contribution to the book you are sending to her husband.

Thanks, Raul. I didn't really know her a long time - just in the last couple of years but because I knew her through her poems, I felt like I really did know her.
Have a lovely weekend!

You're welcome!

Dear Helen, It is so like you, Someone who never knew Joan, to be the one to put this book together to send to her husband.
The verses that you have posted above, Are some of the finest that I have read, thank you for doing this, my most generous friend.

Thank you, Suzanna. I got to know her in the last two years. I didn't know her as well as some others but going through the cancer journey with her, we did get correspond a little big outside of FS. She was very private so I feel privileged that she let me get to know her. So that's why I feel I should be the one to do the book. Hugs!

So poignant. So quietly and sweetly offered. Your admiration for Joan and your faith that believes her spirit lives on is grace in poetry... A fine memorial for a very special woman. I wish I'd gotten to now her... perhaps on the other side?--Karenina

I'll think of something else if you wish Helen, I have already written one, but there are more where that comes from, isn't it marvellous that there is a bottomless well to creativity? This is beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

Helen, that is just beautiful! I'm afraid I don't know who died. But that is the most thoughtful thing for you to do for her husband. Am assuming she's a Fan Story member.
Your words show your fondness for her, even though, as you said, you'd never met in person, and you offer hopeful, peaceful consoling.
Really lovely.

Thank you, Katharine. Yes, you might have read some of her poems. She posted only once a week every Friday and she promoted very high so you couldn't miss it. But she was very private. Hugs!
