Well done. A man's life in just a few stanzas is remarkable. I enjoyed the read. It brought back memories of this great man, though not a God. He deserved an Oscar for many more of his movies. Thanks for sharing.

I was thinking you were aiming for stanzas of 5-7-5 syllables, then noticed a couple of lines at 6 syllables (One of the very best, and From "Boy's Town" to "Dinner").
it doesn't matter.... all in all your poem is a very good description of the career of Spencer Tracy. You've captured his ability, humility, and versatility very well.

Dear Mystery Writer,

I don't know how you managed to pick one favorite actor or actress. *smile* I considered entering this contest and was able to immediately come up with an idea for the movie I'd want to celebrate - but no, no, NO! PLEASE don't ever ask me to pick a favorite actor. Wow.

On the other hand, I do think you'd done a fine job here. I'm also glad you chose someone like this and NOT a new - bleh- actor. Blech - phewy. There's nothing like the old greats! Thanks!

Thanks for your review. I had a very I could have chosen but Spencer Tracy has always been right up there for me. I agree with you about a lot of today's actors - bleh!

Sweet poem. The structure is different, very nice. The rhyme works well and is subtle but not overwhelming or stilted. You manage to describe a few highlights of this man's incredible career and personal relationships without being overly sentimental. Well done.
