Breathtaking! Brilliantly evocative of Easter's renewal and the wonder of worship--joyous family gatherings--rife with rich springtime imagery--I picture the vivid gardens and the easter baskets with the cellophane grass. Thanks for the trip down Nostalgia Lane. Cheers. LIZ

This work is lovely, great descriptions of fabulous weather, and fabulous food and candies as well. I am delighted that you are writing your memories and sharing it with us. Great work.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and for your wonderful words supporting this piece. I really enjoyed hearing about everybody's Easter memories that this story conjured up. That's part of what I am trying to do here; create a sense of shared experience in a common denominator of specific holidays and childhood moments estory

How beautiful.
While all of this is so perfectly described,
I loved your very last sentence the most.
A sadness, a lost innocence in that simple
statement.
I share these same memories, and you have so
adeptly brought them back.
Blessings...

Thanks again for the wonderful words of support and I am glad you could share in these memories. Lost innocence is a part of this looking back, but there is also something of the past that lives on in us. estory

Happiness pervades this essay, written from a child's perspective of Easter. I love the specifics you include, even to the scrambled eggs breakfast.

I'm wondering what will happen in a post Covid world. Perhaps we will appreciate these treasures even more for having lost them for a while.

As a grandmother now I listen to my grandkids pronouncing that myself and grandpa will live for 500 yrs.

Such innocent love!

Thanks for sharing, estory.

Stay safe healthy and blessed.

Julia

Thanks so much for the excellent review and I am glad this little post was able to conjure up those wonderful memories for you of Easters past. It is a world that seems so much simpler now in retrospect, but carrying it along with us through this life is important, I believe estory

I think even if Easter is a common celebration in the Christian community, but the way we celebrate is very different. For us was going to church and have very specific foods: fish, cheese, bread and lamb:) Thank you for sharing and good luck with the next memory.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and its always great to hear specifics from the memories of someone else out there that the story inspired. Part of what I am trying to do is create this sense of shared experiences around the world by different people who shared the same holiday in different places in different cultures. I love hearing about all these memories from people estory

You certainly captured the essence of Easter Sunday in this brief essay of how you experienced it and the feelings emanated from the various traditions

At that moment, it seems as if the world will go on forever.

You couldn't have used better words. You were at peace.

Thank you for sharing this piece, ESTORY. On this cold, winters day I am transported back in time to those sweet spring Easter Sundays, the excitement of knowing the bunny had dropped by, and the joy of celebrating the renewal of life. Wishing you good health and continued happy writing.

I like this chapter for its color and smell. These are tangible memories that will become rare in this high tech and VR/AR world. I have many nice Easter and spring bloom memories, too It reminded me of the good old time that seemed so far away.

It will not going to come back this Easter, maybe next.

Well done.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and all your continued support for my efforts here. Glad it was a such vibrant chapter for you and those descriptions made the joy and glory of Easter come alive. Easter is in the heart and soul. The resurrection is the triumph of the spirit over death and a great symbol of victory over the coronavirus. estory

I love all the specifics little details in your peace about the holiday of Easter. My only suggestion is to take it just a little bit more in the area of description so that it doesn't read entirely as a journal. Good work!

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your comments and suggestions. I wanted to capture the sense of the joy and glory of Easter here, so the specific moment kind of becomes a vehicle of experiencing the greater spiritual, timeless nature of Easter. I also want to keep these memories kind of short and intense. Some will be a bit longer, this is really one of the shorter ones. estory
