I hope you win this contest. You combine the flowing whimsy of Robert Frost in a turn of the century genre-like feel. It flows so beautifully and clips along with style and grace.

I truly enjoyed your sonnet. I could easily visualize the bridge and lovers strolling across it in spring, but it is empty now because of "arctic air." I am like the Speaker who wishes to feel the "warmth of spring." Your tetrameter is flawless and your ABAB rhyming is natural. Good luck in the contest. Rod

A Sonnet portraying the effect of winter and the cold season when lovers no longer visit this bridge - but soon when winter is over the bridge will once again experience the joys of young lovers
