I work in a grocery store and I watch people get a lot of stuff into bags like that if they walked to us or had to take the bus. I'm glad they have things like this for people who need it.

Yeah mate, I love it. Have to see how I go on public transport with it real soon. Been on bus and train with the walker but not since the bag was added.I only named the walker when I was writing the poem, yesterday hehe. Thanks for coming by.

Take advantage of whatever comes along to keep you in the game. This should be encouraging to others who use a walker. It will let them know what's possible. That is an attractive, colorful bag. Happy walking. Excellent rhyme, and I appreciate the upbeat tone. judi

Thanks Judi appreciate the splendid review. I loved the bag first time I saw it. A bit pricey but worth it! Have you heard is it JunE died?

You're very welcome. I really didn't know the person, but I think she's the one. judi

Hi Geoff. I have a walker that I have been using for over a year. It is handy and I feel safer when I amble around the hose. I will be able to stop using it pretty soon though as my feet are nearly all healed up. I do use a cane occasionally though. Safer, I don't need a broken hip. LOL Bob

Right mate. Everyone that sees me walking with the walker says I look more steady with it. Thanks for the lovely review and good luck with your feet.

Did you ever see my Shillelagh (Irish walking stick?) very unique design I got it from my pharmacist quite a few years ago FREE! I was all set to buya walking stick from him and he said to wait till Monday and he gave me the Shillelagh, Quite possibly belonged to his Great Grandfather! See if I have a picture of it for you someplace.

Wow! What a find! It looks like a jazzy, upmarket esky. You'll be the envy of all those who share the sidewalk with you, Geoff. No need for a warning flag!

I am glad you found Wally to help you get along.
What I love not only your poem, but that you gave your Walker a persona. It shows how even with health issues, your outlook has a twinkle in your eye.
Well done on both fronts.
Regards
Mary

I am hoping this helps you keep walking. I am a firm believer that walking and staying active keep us alive longer. Don't ever quit moving. I need you around. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Sis. Yes walking for me replaces Metformin (for Diabetes) that I was told caused Kidney damage. So glad to be able to get "out and about" again.

Thanks Sis. I don't need the ramp to get on the bus like Louise does YET! I had a battle with a guy and his push bike on the train the other day PRE- walker bag so we will see.
Comment from Gloria ....
This is a great poem, Sankey. Your metre and rhymes are spot on, and what a fine looking walker.
By the sounds of it, Wally is a fine friend indeed.
A most enjoyable read today. :)

You made me smile as you called your walker 'Wally' and you may as well see the humour in the situation and you managed to write a great poem on the subject too, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Thanks Dolly. Did you hear JoanE passed away? I was shocked to hear it from Sally Law. Wally got his name yesterday when I was writing the poem.

Geoff,
You do not seem like the sort of guy who enjoys sitting around doing nothing. I'm so glad to see you have figured out a way to keep walking - I know how much you enjoy that. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Robyn. I was a "sit around" person for years but as I think, I posted someplace the Metformin Diabetic meds are known to cause Kidney Damage. I stopped them...walking is the substitute. Gets rid of all the bad Cholesterol and replaces whatever the Metformin was supposed to do!I just learned JoanE had passed on! She was a great FS'er and Reviewer. I appreciate you coming by are we ever gonna see the benders again?

Oh, my. I sure hope so. I don't know what's wrong with me. I have started piddling with another tiny little stupid story if you're interested. I'm only 5 or 6 chapters in. Hugs-
