I missed this somehow, in the middle of a week of family commitments (despite covid). So seeing part 4, I backed up, sharpish. The word that comes to mind is enigmatic. Having found that, I can move on... Katherine

Very creepy and mysterious. What is causing the bits? It seems to have something to do with his also very creepy neighbor or at least he knows about it. Very well written. I saw no errors and am looking forward to finding out what is going on.

You've got me hooked...I want to read more of this story! One little typo (when Sean is knocking on the old man's door you have Seam, not Sean...) The phlegmy noise the old man makes is so icky (yep, that's a technical term) and memorable. Thanks for sharing your work. Looking forward to future installments.

Weeell, I missed the first two parts (they're probably lost in the nearly 200 hundred messages - ugh), but this one's well done, G -- gotta go back and catch up, but I'm definitely on board now.. ;) :) Thanx for sharing, sir! ;) Yvette

This is interesting and captivating. I'll have to go take a look at the rest of the material. I look forward to seeing the conclusion as well. Good job, thanks for the good read.

You are such a tease as you taunt the reader with just enough information to make me want to turn the page NOW. Something strange and spooky is going on. Those red spots appear again with no visible reason. The old man knows something but is not forthcoming. Great foreshadowing of things to come. Can what is happening to Sean be explained in the mundane world or is something alien or supernatural in store? With you, it could be anything.

Definitely an interesting continuation, G. It still hold the suspense and mystery of 'why' this is happening to Sean and 'who' is responsible. Perhaps it is Sean and his related guilt, who knows. As I continue reading I truly feel that the old man across the hall is a prominent figure, but that is just me guessing.

Gripping--stunning depiction of scene and internal monologue--graphic imagery regarding his mysterious symptoms. Startling ending--hope to catch the conclusion.

This is well written, and it seems to be going for a slow burn. Right now beside possible bed bugs, we don't see much happening. Perhaps the old man knows something, but for reasons we don't know yet, chose not to disclose it.

Building suspense is good, but I think you also have to give the reader more reasons to stay, an enticement of some sort.

How what always begins? Now you left an interesting hook. I bought it. Your characters are always well described and force, yes force the readers to want more and this is no different.
