John Lennon and Marvin Gaye rank at the Highest Levels of my Song Writers list. The Day the Music Died is About 50's Iconic Buddy Holley, Big Bopper, and Richie Valens but few Can Match the Beatles and Marvin. Blessings to you for putting this into such a limited word 5-7-5 Syllable poem which really resonates for his Fans.

Here is the thing. What you say is the truth, no doubt about it, but is this a poem or a simple statement broken into three parts? I don't know where the line is anymore but I think it is something you should think about.

Sad but true story. Very nice picture of him. I loved the Beatles when I was a kid.
The requirements for the 5-7-5 is that the first and last lines must have only 5 syllables. Your first line has 6. You could shorten it to 5 if it read:
The leader of the
Beatles led their success; killed
by an obsessed fan.

Otherwise, good work.
