Great play on words and the opening lines drives to a rhythm if one respects the punctuation you added. It is a sad subject but that does no detract from the fact that it meets, very nicely, the criteria. Good luck

This 5-7-5, John Lennon, has the proper formatting and reminds the readers of the Fab Four's most talented and memorable member. Imagine.

Yes, quite ironic, which you have captured in your short poem. It is well written, and an excellent supporting photo. Best wishes for your entry in the contest.

You really said it all in just a few words. His life was inspiring to many. My brother, whose birthday is today, really loved him. My brother had the song "Blackbird" played at his funeral when he died at the age of 56.
Thank you for sharing! My brother was a good memory.

Well written poem for the 5-7-5 contest. The picture you chose to accompany your writing is paired well with it. His death was such a tragic loss. All the best to you in the upcoming contest.

Was this an anniversary of Lennon's death? He was "instrumental" to the success of the Beatles (nice word play). It's so sad that he had to die under such violent circumstances. Best wishes in the contest!

This piece is a nice tribute to a man who influenced so many people over the course of his life. The reader is left saddened at the end knowing a good life ended long before it should have.

An interesting choice for the contest. You must be a Beatles fan, as am I, though I liked Paul Mccarthy the best. They were all so talented, their music lives on. Best of luck in the contest. :)
