This is cute! I really like how you chose several cartoons to put in the poem. It's definitely difficult to choose just one. Cartoons from back in the day are just fantastic.

Yes, yes, yes. This is a contest worthy entry. I loved that you didn't just reminisce about childhood and sitting cross-legged on the floor in your pajamas. That would have been trite. But why did you leave out my beloved Mighty Mouse? After all, it was he who saved the day.

Your contest entry was fun to read. Your lines are smooth with great imagery. I can tell how much you enjoyed, and still do, your cartoons. Today's cartoons aren't written and depicted like the great ones you mentioned.

The old, painstakingly drawn cartoons seem to have been superseded by these three dimensional plasticine characters such as Wallace and Gromett. At least they have in UK. I suppose it is simply a case of time moving on.
I recognise some of those you mention but wonder the omission of my favourite - Tom and Jerry.
