My favorite part of the decor of this retro home is the black trim around the tiles in the bathroom. Oh, but then there is the differentiated peeling paint and all the other techniques of aging. What craftsmanship.

Hi Yvette.

This is pretty funny. I particularly like the phrenetic pace of the dialogue with interrupted words and phrases. I takes on s sense of realism with a fast talking salesman/realtor. The dialogue allows the reader to move on quickly with the story.

Hilarious. This had BETTER win. Brilliant dialogue on an spot-on theme for your circumstances. Reminds me of a piece I wrote on the boring modern stuff in which I closed by imagining a buyer who wanted formica, linoleum and harvest-gold appliances. Stupendous!

Well, Mr. Duncan sure is a busybody, pushy, exaggerator, YM. I enjoyed your fun contest entry. Your detail of the characters added great imagery. I could see Mr. Duncan traipsing through the house describing the aged details with a bunch of phony baloney. But it was fun to read. I believe his brother must be in the used car business. Your lines read smoothly and the progression is great.

You had a heck of a lot of fun penning this piece! Lordy! I laughed all the way through speculating that perhaps one or two tidbits came from the annals of your own moving adventure! This would make a wonderful episode on your next venture: a sitcom!
Fast-paced and definitely "spot on" with accurate descriptions of the decor! Just oozing with yellows, oranges and greens! Wowsa!
