I love the subject you chose for this well written and creative rictameter, which perfectly meets the guidelines for this type of poem. Your artwork pairs appropriately also, which makes a great presentation. Rumors are dangerous, and can turn into outright lies. Best wishes in the contest.

Rumors are like weeds - they spread fast and are not worth anything. Thanks for dropping by to share your thoughts.

This is very cleverly written in this format, which seems very well suited to your theme. I like the illustration too, as it seems apt. The poem flows, without being forced to fit the meaning. Good wishes for the contest.

Sometimes it is hard for people to see that the things they say or suggest might become something bigger than it was intended and thus the number is started.

Hello, Anonymous,
Great entry for the Write a Rictameter writing prompt contest. Good syllables count and connection between lines. Excellent presentation and imagery. Well-chosen words very expressive and with a clear message of avoiding gossip. Good luck in the contest.

I'm not above rumors, but the rumors that I do get myself involved in, usually have to deal with people that I don't like. There's lotta truth in your poem and I wish you luck in the contest.

I really like this one! I found the Rictameter to be a bit tricky, but this is great. "salacious details" "flames of indignation" Well done.
All the best of luck in the contest!

Very nicely written Rictameter ... I love the humor, as well as the message;
What goes around comes around. Technically accurate (I counted). Your artwork selection is spot on. Best of luck in the contest.

This is such a demanding form with many requirements, but you have done a superb job of writing a sensible, meaningful poem that follows all the rules. I liked it very much. It flows smoothly and naturally and makes much sense. I wish you good luck. I think you have written a great entry for this contest.

This is quite a lovely form, and you have done a terrific job with it, author.
And a wry and humourous take on gossip actually being created by the people who delight in scattering it around.
Wishing you much luck in the voting booth with this gem. :))
