Smiles to you for your lovely tribute to Joan E. I do remember reading about her trips that she traveled. I didn't know about Joan passing. I can tell you I always had fun reading her stories and poems and the wonderful photos she took to where she traveled on a cruse ship

Smiles to you for your lovely tribute to Joan E. I do remember reading about her trips that she traveled. I didn't know about Joan passing. I can tell you I always had fun reading her stories and poems and the wonderful photos she took to where she traveled on a cruse ship

Hi Gert, I would read her poems and see the pictures...
I told her once I wish I could go with her...so she told me to pack a suitcase...and come along...after that...I would always pack my bags and go with her...and when she got home...we would talk about the trip....and the pictures...
I knew she wasn't feeling well...the last two trips I knew she was on...when her and her husband got home...she said they took a lot out of them both...she was going to see a doctor...
I had been off the site more than on for a little bit...and feel awful I didn't keep up with her...so when I read she had passed...I was so hurt...I just cried...I'm glad she is out of pain...and I know she is now resting in peace...she is now home...

After a long time away from this site, I came back hoping to be greeted by her bubbling love. More tears. My favorite post card and a panoramic picture hangs over my mantle was from her trip to Israel.

Hi Jean, I am so sorry...I miss her so much...
I used to love taking trips with her...fantasy of course...
I knew she was sick...I just didn't know how sick...and then I
started coming on less...and people were leaving and dying...
it's just not the same...tears...

Do you know if her husband is still living? She was so gracious, talented, humble and encouraging.

I believe he is...he went on all her trips with her...on one of the last two...he got a bad cold...but he got over it...she was more run down with the last two trips...her back and her hip flared up...she was going to the doctors...after that I had to go help my brother...and do a few other things...so I didn't get back on as much...now I feel so bad about it...she was a good person...fun to talk with...and laugh...and cry...

Joan made friends with my brother and other family members and talked behind my back frequently. I'm shocked to have found out from you on FanStory.
