I award you with my last six! When I taught preschool I had a collection of keys and boxes for the kids to unlock. It seems we always have "lost" keys hanging around with no clue why they are there. What a prompt this would be for a creative writing assignment....or even a fanstory contest? I
Think a lot of writers could get keyed up over that!

How exciting to hear your words, I did the same in my classrooms! I am very grateful for the stars and your kind words. Now, there is a sequel, "The Lock"; I couldn't resist a follow up after such a great review. Thank you for your time and kindness.

How soon do you plan to do it so I know if I should reserve a six for you next week

I can only imagine the rush of emotions one might experience upon finding a box of KEYS--curiosity, surprise, maybe even amusement. Keys
are such powerful symbols of things once, maybe still, important. Your poem is creatively written and moving.

What intrigue to find a box of keys. Someone at some time added another and another one. I know I hate to through away keys. You just never know where they might fit.
Very nicely done.

Blessings
Janet.

And we tend to NEVER throw them away, because we MIGHT, just maybe need them for where they actually fit! This is a very interesting topic you've chosen, creative and unique. The "idea" of the Master, great! Very well written and flows! Love it!

Hello Brigitte - this is a very written poem on an unusual subject written as a result of finding a box of keys - interesting. I identified with this poem - a few years ago I found in my button box the key to the house where I was born and bred. The house has now gone but that key means much to me - a link with my past. I knew the key was to our house because it had the name of the landlord and the town of Newcastle on Tyne embossed on it.
Your lovely poem took me back. I love your term 'Master of the Keys' - you are - they all belong to you. LOL! Warm regards Dorothy x

Hello Brigitte Elko,
Nice piece of poetry having impressive phraseology, smooth flow throughout from the beginning to the end, and beautifully depicting its theme.
The last two lines particularly noteworthy.
Picture enhances depth and beauty of the poem.

i can relate to this poem about keys. I have keys to ten different rental properties and keys to other things that I am not sure what they mean. Reminds me of a TV series Locke and Key that was pretty good on netflix.

This is rather an intriguing poem that I thought could be expanded even more. Maybe a sequel on one or more of the keys is coming up? My favorite line was: Hundreds of hunks of beveled metal
I think this would be great spoken aloud.

It's a mystery wrapped in a riddle for sure - and how we can never find them when we need them so we get more locks. Interesting poem with a great photograph of an old key. Thank you for Sharing this one.
