'Keys', is an extremely well-written and deftly descriptive piece. Penned with craft and skill. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. I look forward to seeing your next post.

You are so right, I misplaced some of my keys, and we always wonder what a particular key might open. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Long forgotten keys, along with odd socks must be the bane of many households. There's a nice metaphor here, perhaps, to do with locked doors and lost keys. Sometimes, it is better for them to remain locked. No regrets!

Be gone Key Master, be gone...your adventure awaits you! LOL. What a fun poem and hopefully a fun time you can have working with the contents of the box. Your poem reads well and was easily followed and understood. No edits or adjustments are necessary.

Kudos for using a fortuituous discovery as inspiration for this compelling piece. Brilliant segue from description to speculation on the long-lost locks. Hope you find some!

Oooh, are the old skeleton keys like the photo? That would be awesome, of course, wondering what they belong to would be maddening! I love this poem about your find! "Mysterious treasures..." thanks for sharing!

Bridgette, this is a very original piece of writing and gives the reader pause for thought -- where do all those lost keys end up, as well as the doors they used to open? This could be taken metaphorically as well...such as lost pieces of knowledge that could open important doors to a better world, if we can just find the right fit for the right doors. Cheers! NK

This is a very imaginative poem, I've found keys around that I have no clue about...it would be awesome if there really was key master who could match up locks and keys. I really like your poem, thanks for sharing. :)
